Passing of One of our Members

On Wednesday the 28th of January, Charles D. Best, 77, of North Irwin lost his battle with cancer and made his last cast on this water.

Charlie was one of the original pioneers of the PA B.A.S.S. Nation and along with his fine angling skills, held many officer’s positions in the Nation.  He was also one of the more prominent attendees at the West District Meetings. Charlie was very passionate about the PA B.A.S.S. Nation and never failed to express his opinion, when he felt it would benefit the organization. Charlie was an important asset the the Nation and his leadership has been missing since his illness kept him away.  At his request, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Charlie was a great bass angler, a great leader and certainly a great friend.  He will be missed by all who knew him and missed by all that enjoy that benefits of his contributions to the success of the PA B.A.S.S. Nation.

As Charlie makes his way to other waters, let us wish him calm waters, warm breezes and plenty of lunker bass, you will be missed my friend.
