Mingo Creek Anglers Help out with South Park Youth Outdoors Day
On May 18, 2017, third graders from South Park School District had a event at Peters Creek in Jefferson Hills with 10 stations set up for the kids to visit. As the students moved through each station, the presenters were given 10 to 15 minutes to speak to each group. Mingo Creek Anglers were on hand to help with this event. They took a bass boat down for the kids to see and were able to give a short talk to the kids about bass fishing and PA B.A.S.S. Nation. In all, about 180 students took part in this event. All the students loved seeing the bass boat and they asked a ton of questions. What a great way to get the next generation excited for fishing!

Our Youth Director, Ernie Watkins, is working diligently with the PFBC to find a suitable replacement and location. The hope is to get the state championship scheduled sometime between September and the end of October. The event will possibly be at Raystown; waiting on PFBC to get back to Ernie. He is hoping to have a date and location within the next week or so. Please share this info with everyone you know who was looking forward to participating. We apologize for the inconvenience this cancellation may have caused. Any questions or concerns please call our Youth Director, at 717-315-8951 or email him at email@example.com.
